  • Context: An important energy consumption item is the lighting system in contexts like shopping centres, public lighting, and industrial buildings.  This relates mainly to those companies working at night. LED offers great advantages in terms of reduced energy consumption but the current market solutions have costs which are still too high and cover only a niche market.
  • Innovative solutions:

    - High Density Discharge, HID lamps, sodium lamps or metallic halides: these use a high frequency and high efficiency electronic ballast suited to reduce the energy consumption up to 60% and to double the life of the lamps by consequently halving the maintenance costs that are very high for the public lighting system.  This solution is particularly suited for lamps at high consumption (i.e. 70W)  

    - Low consumption fluorescent lamps with electronic ignition, generating savings up to 30% in case of tubes replacement with electromagnetic ignition.  They are fitted through a simple replacement of the existing tubes without any special maintenance and are particularly suitable for the reduction of internal consumptions at limited power (i.e. 58W)
