  • Context: Every year in Europe (EU27 Countries) more than 3 million tons of end-of-life tires are generated. Unlike plastic, vulcanized rubber cannot be reprocessed and this limits the applications of recycled rubber from industrial waste and end-of-life products.
  • Objectives: Innovative product development based on recycled rubber for the realization of high value-added products compared to market benchmarks.
  • Activities: Powder rubber chemical/physical surface treatment, use of de-linked rubber for new high performance compound.
  • Expected results: Thanks to the development of innovative solutions, a large quantity of recycled rubber can be re-used without significantly modifying the finished product performance.
