- Context: for high performance sport footwear applications, a distinctive element of competitiveness exists in the possibility of achieving continuous advanced performance.
- Objectives: Develop new material with higher “grip on wet” in extreme conditions including ice during thaw, and wet surfaces, while still maintaining high performance in dry conditions.
- Activities: Researc advanced materials to improve the rubber/TPV water interaction including assessment of a Nano composite as Carbon NanoTube and Metal Oxide evaluation; composite materials, aramidic fibers and carbon fiber appraisal to achieve a lightweight structure.
- Expected results: New advanced material suitable to dynamically modify its grip performance according to different weather conditions, "wet/dry".
